Hi guys, this post title should actually read “If you can’t make money up to what you expect from your blog, It’s time for changes.” (There are many bloggers who blog blindly & poorly and expect great money from the adsense ads!)

If you have been blogging for more than six months and does not make money up to what you expect. Than you really need to change your course and strategy.

But what changes do you need? Let me suggest the following:

1. Get a new blog domain. Naturally, owning a domain name will assure that you will keep it, even if you have to move from hosting provider to another hosting. You Can Start A Business. Thousands of individuals have started small businesses from their own websites and Blogs, and so can you. By having your own domain you are in control of your site and your business and you will be able to design or make changes to your site so that it stands out in the crowd, makes your site unique and allows you to do the most important task of optimizing your site for the search engines so that your site can appear high up in the search results. You will also be able to project your own personality into the site.

Personal view on free blog: Free blog like blogspot sucks! I know there are many good and great bloggers using free blog from Google. But when it come to monetizing and building traffic most people ignore free blog’s blog as the image has been already spoiled by sploggers and new wannabe John chow.

2. Use Wordpress: Wordpress is more than a blog publishing tool. (You can download the software from here ) It is a dynamic CMS now. That’s why I use Wordpress for this site. Google’s Matt Cutts recommends WordPress. “Wordpress is Great”. According to a presentation Google’s Webspam captain gave at WordCamp San Francisco, Word Press takes care of about 80-90 percent of SEO mechanics. 3. Start a targeted Niche blog: Let me explain what I meant by starting a “targeted Niche blog”. If you take a glance at my blog or the homepage, you will notice that I am targeting something specific. You must think and make up your mind about your niche before you start a blog. What are you going to write about? What are you going to sell? For example If your blog is about ‘Home Based Business. I will suggest and recommend you to sign up your blog with a Home Based Business company that provide incentives. There are many successful programs available on the net. Grab the best one. Do one program at a time and provide your readers and clients the best possible help & tips by writing good contents or any other methods you can provide in your blog. I have stumbled upon many blogs that advertise the advertisers with their referral links on it and nothing else. These kind of blogs look very spammy. And it will be hard for anyone to visit that kind of blog for the second time.

4. Spread it : Now that you have a targeted niche blog. it’s time to market about your business/niche. You can tell or use your success story by publishing it wherever you can. You can do that freely in many social media sites and social networking sites to grab greater audience and attention. One great thing I do locally where my business are based is marketing through pamphlets. I paid some money to the newspaper door to door distributors to include my business pamphlets ads on it. The result are great and uncountable.
